General Information / Introduction DEFINITION

(TeachMe) is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information and will take relevant measures to safeguard your personal information in accordance to the Personal Data and Protection Act 2010. This privacy policy is designed to help you understand how (TeachMe) collects, transmits and stores data of our Users. In order to make this policy easier to read, the terms “you”, “You”, “User”, or “Users” shall refer to any Student, Tutor, Parent, or individual that may view, user, access, browse, or submit and content or material to the Service. The term “Services” shall refer to the website, applications and platforms, provided by (TeachMe). “Personal Information” refers to information relating to you or other identifiable individuals.

(TeachMe) reserves the right, at any time, to modify, update, or amend the contents of this Privacy Policy. It is advised to check the Privacy Policy periodically for changes while you are a User. Your use of the Services following the posting of any changes to the Privacy constitutes acceptance of such changes.

What

Personal Information refers to any information about you, from which are identifiable, including any sensitive personal data and expression of opinion about the individual. When first registering for a (TeachMe) account, and when in use of the Services, we collect Personal Information about you such as: full name, address, email, phone number, contact details, banking information, education level and experience, information as part of your account profile and the like.

The Personal Information collected can be either obligatory or voluntary. As such, obligatory personal information are those that are required in order to provide you access to our services. If obligatory personal information is not provided, we would not be able to provide you with our products and services. Voluntary personal information are those that are not required in order for us to provide you with our services. Therefore, our services may still be usable if you choose not to provide us with such personal information. Obligatory and voluntary personal information will be indicated in the application forms.

How

(TeachMe) shall obtain your personal information from various ways, such as: registering at (TeachMe) websites, contact through application forms, emails, conversations, or the like, customer surveys, promotions, third party sources such as Google or Facebook, publically available sources. This may include collection of your IP address, browser, access times, regions from which you navigate the web page, or the like. Information may also be obtained from cookies (see Cookies and Related Technology)

Purpose of processing your personal data

(TeachMe) uses the personal information obtained for the following reasons:

  • To identify you when you login to your account (authentication purposes)
  • To enable us to operate the Services and provide them to you
  • To send bills and receipts, verify and communicate regarding transactions and for services confirmations, billing, security, and authentications
  • To analyse the website or services and information about our users, including research into user demographic and behaviour to improve our content and Services.
  • To respond to your enquires, to solve disputes for which you may have contacted (TeachMe)
  • To inform, sell, or market any (TeachMe) services, newsletters, promotions, or the like to you

(TeachMe) may also use and share your personal information with other entities, agents, strategic partners, and other third parties as we may see fit. This is in order to introduce improvements and improving usability of our Services. Children

Our services should only be accessed by individuals of Minimum age of 17 or with the supervision of a parent, guardian or adult.

(TeachMe) shall take physical, technical and organisational measures needed to ensure the security and confidentiality of personal information. If any of your personal information is disclosed to our authorised agents, service providers, or partners, we will require them to appropriately safeguard the personal information provided to them. Your personal information will be retained by (TeachMe) for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected or to comply with legal, regulatory and/or internal requirements.
